Talán kevesen értesültek róla, hogy az IFLA keretében működik egy Nők, Információ és Könyvtárak 'Special Interest Group' (van ennek bevett magyar megfelelője a hazai szakmai nyelvben?)
Az aláírót, - Evviva Weinraub -személyesen is ismerhetjük, pár éve az OSzK-ban rendezett konferencián meghívott előadó volt.

As part of this process, we are soliciting nominations to become a committee member for the Women, Information, and Libraries Special Interest Group (WILSIG). WILSIG's mission https://www.ifla.org/about-the-women-information-and-libraries-special-interest-group is around the promotion, development and support of library and information services for the benefit of women, and society as a whole. Please join us in helping IFLA lead this important work.

Land acknowledgement: The University at Buffalo operates on the territory of the Seneca Nation, a member of the Haudenosaunee/Six Nations Confederacy. This territory is covered by The Dish with One Spoon Treaty of Peace and Friendship, a pledge to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. It is also covered by the 1794 Treaty of Canandaigua, between the United States Government and the Six Nations Confederacy, which further affirmed Haudenosaunee land rights and sovereignty in the State of New York. Today, this region is still the home to the Haudenosaunee people, and we are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and share ideas in this territory.
