Egyetemei tanárképző könyvtárosként egy helyi (Franciaország, Limoges) speciális kiadóval dolgozok együtt jelenleg egy kiállitáson. Ez a kiadó egyesület vakok és gyengén látó gyerekeknek készít illusztrált könyveket (textil, térbeli pop-up stb.). A munkatarsak egy europai projekten dolgoznak és keresnek külföldi múzeumot, aki szivesen társulna hozzájuk.

PROJECT DISPLAY Accessible digital application
ANALYSIS
Since Europe has made the inclusion of people with disabilities a priority, many arrangements made public places accessible for them. At least with regard to the physical access of the premises. But when we look in detail at accessibility, a museum is really accessible to a public with disabilities if the works it exhibits can not be seen (visual impairment) or understood (intellectual disability) ? No. Still today, it is not always possible for people with disabilities, and more specifically children, to visit a museum with access to the works, or to walk around a zoo with accessible informations about animals.
THE IDEA
In order to enable children to discover the works of a museum (zoo, aquarium, natural history museum, etc.) at their own pace and respecting their abilities and needs, Mes Mains en or has thought to create an interactive educational application that guides them, on a tablet, throughout their visit. The application will be accessible to children with visual impairments, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, and children with autism spectrum disorders. It will offer different adapted routes, one hour per course, enabling the same child (or group of children) to return several times in the same cultural place and discover different elements. Children will be guided by an interactive narrative framework (investigation or
treasure hunt, for example) that will invite them to look for works (or elements) in the museum. Through games, children will discover the story (or characteristics) of works and will be steered to remember the important elements to solve the final riddle. This application will be complemented by accessible manual activities (tactile book, reproduction, construction games, etc.), completing the discovery of works.
OBJECTIVES
• Offer discovery courses accessible on tablet by a child with a disability or by a group of children with disabilities supervised by an adult (but not necessarily a museum guide).
•
Encourage the child to interact with what he discovers through digital games, manual activities or audio.
•
Make accessible to children with disabilities the understanding of works (or elements) previously chosen with the partner structure.
About us
Mes Mains en or is an associative publishing house created in 2010 by Caroline
Chabaud. Specializing in the production of books adapted to visually impaired children (tactile images, braille and large print), we want to develop accessibility projects that affect other types of disabilities. Accustomed to collaborating with cultural venues and medico-social structures, it is already working on a digital application project totally accessible to visually impaired children. Since 1987, 3iL Group works on the evolution of digital sector. 3iL Group train students in line with the needs of companies and institutions, thanks to advanced courses in computer science. It also works on research, monitoring, dissemination and development of IT solutions through the action of 3iL \ LAB, composed of 2 poles of activities : The Technological Resources Laboratory and The Research Laboratory associated with the XLIM laboratory (UMR CNRS), and the Industrial Engineering Research Centre (CGI) of the graduate school Les Mines d’Albi-Carmaux. 3iL Lab is associated with the University of Limoges, which supports the regional incubator that enables the emergence of innovative projects. In order to claim an european project (ERASMUS+),
