Egy külföldi könyvtári levelezőlistán olvastam azt a kérdést, hogy a könyvtári gyakorlatban megkülönböztetik-e az elektronikus és a digitális gyűjteményt – pl. a saját könyvtár által digitalizált állomány esetében? És van-e hivatalos magyarázatos szótár, amely ezt a különbözőséget pontosan meghatározza?
A vita az elején tart, és az eddigi megállapítások szerint nehéz különbséget tenni.
Kíváncsi lennék a hazai könyvtárosok álláspontjára erről.

Subject: [ERIL-L] terminology question
Does anyone know if there are stated protocols and/or guidelines for using the words "electronic" and "digital"? I have made up my own definitions in which I class anything as created by outside vendors or institutions as "electronic resources" and anything that we digitize in-house as "digital resources". I suppose that one could also class by the type of information (text, .pdf, image, or sound file) as either "electronic" or "digital". I am looking for any official controlled vocabulary that I can use for revising our Collection Development Policy.
I've looked at sites from DELOS, ARL, DLF and a lot of digitization and electronic resources management sites and articles, but I cannot find definitions that describe the distinction between the 2 words. Any suggestions are welcome.
