Important notes:

1. Your referee(s) should not be:
   • An employee
   • A board member
   • Anyone related to an employee/board member
   • Anyone who might personally benefit from the project
   Your referee is expected to provide a non-biased, but well informed assessment of the proposed project. Therefore, he or she should have some expertise in the sort of project you are asking him or her to evaluate and may perhaps have had experience in running similar projects in the past.
2. We will send your referee(s) an email invitation. You can view the status of this invitation in your Application homepage. If a request for a reference is refused, you will be asked to supply details of an alternate referee.
3. Will automatically send your referee(s) your First Stage Application Form. However, you should provide them with draft versions of your second stage application as soon as possible so that they can begin to write their appraisal.
